Has anyone ever really felt held down by "the man" (i use this term loosely seeing as I've never really defined who the man was. Anyway, The University of Georgia is holding me down to say the least. I have never paid so much money to a single institution in my entire life.
Parking pass mayhem? If you can believe it, I paid over $300 for a parking permit last year in ATHENS!!!! This is not downtown Atlanta. Why in the world am I paying so much for a parking permit? And thanks a lot Georgia football. If you can believe this, students are made to move their cars out of the parking lots that they paid over 300 dollars to park in, for visitors and tailgators to have parking. I have come back to campus to eat at the dining hall I pay over $1500 a semester for and not been able to eat because I couldn't find anywhere to park. And don't forget to move your car OUT of your designated lot because you will be towed at your expense. THANK YOU UGA. Like shelling out over $300 for Chemistry books, parking passes, over $1,000 for a meal plan, another $1,000 for tuition, $90 for transportation fees, $20 for technology fees, etc. isn't enough, just tack on towing costs for leaving your car in the lot that you paid for.
So for the sake of this blog, we'll label "The Man" as University officials who approve of this nonsense.
